The International Writers Magazine: Dreamscapes : A story of
a secret love
A
letter to my love

A
secret love

To my dearest darling,
I just wanted to say thank you. No, don't laugh. I know it sounds a little
silly, but I really honestly mean it. I want to thank you for always being
the most wonderful thing in my life, for helping me and always being there
when I need you and thank you for just being you. I loved you from the
very first moment that I saw you (it's a moment that I'll never forget)
and I definitely know that if you will let me, I will love you for as
long as I live, whether you are still with me or not.
You must think that it's rather strange that I'm writing you this letter
as opposed to talking to you personally. You see, I really quite like
writing letters because it gives me a chance to think about things. It
also gives a wonderful anonymity which is difficult to achieve when talking
directly. You can almost express feelings without the interference of
emotions.
We have been together for such a long time now, I can't imagine my life
without you. Together we're complete. We match. A perfect fit. People
admire you when we walk down the street together, and comment on your
fine shape and my exquisite taste and luck because I have you. But of
course you know this because you're always there too, I just mentioned
it because it makes me so proud. People are always jealous and I constantly
wonder how someone like me came to have such a relationship as this. It's
more than I ever dreamed of and I'm so grateful.
Do you remember years ago when we were on holiday together in Spain and
that woman on the beach tried to give me money to buy you and I got so
angry with her and sent her away with many angry words. That was one of
the most desperate and upsetting times of my life, but you were so calm.
It made me realise what you are to me and how different everything would
be if you weren't always by my side; helping me to get through every day
life.
It's the little things that you do that really count and are the most
special. Like coming to parties and social occasions with me, that we
both know are going to be boring, and not complaining when I take forever
getting ready to go anywhere.
Forgive this incoherent rambling that I call a letter, is my pledge of
eternal love, support and thanks, for you and to you. May you always be
happy wherever you are and remember to always be your wonderful self and
don't let anybody tell you that you're not special and wonderful because
you truly, truly are. Especially to me and all others that know you.
All my love to you always and forever, my dearest, darling Prada handbag,
Suzannah
