AND
THE WINNER IS...
HACKWRITERS CINEMA AWARDS 'THE BEASTIES'

Our awards
are simple. Did the film succeed in making us laugh, or cry, or thrill.
Did it actually do what it set out to do on the poster? Was it worth £8
pounds a ticket? (almost $12 dollars US a ticket). If so, they got a vote.
At the end of the judging period- March 2002, the Hackwriters team voted.
We hired a virtual hall, made do with some virtual stars and producers
and hey presto on a glittering night we awarded them their 'Beasties'
. Some wept, some spoke too long and some lived to regret it. We make
no apologies. It's our 'Beastie' and our choice. Get your own awards if
you don't agree.
